The
Underlying Cause Of Your Top
Frustrations And Aggravations?
(The
ultimate in "competitive intelligence" - It's
not what you think!)
From
Timothy A. Gross, Executive Director - Educated Media, LLC
Friends,
deploying your personal assets correctly is critical to
your success.
You
wouldn't:
*
Hire an accountant to write your advertisements
* Ask your lawyer to paint a picture for your office wall
...And
yet individuals often work well below their OWN capacity
because they mistakenly choose to put themselves into environments
and take on work loads they aren't best suited for!
This
simple fact can account for many of the frustrations and
aggravations you may have in your daily life - Both in business,
and in your relationships. (And of course, business IS about
relationships.)
Self-Awareness Of Your Strengths And
Possible Weaknesses Is Of Ultra-Importance.
Example:
What if Michael Jordan never realized he had a particular
knack for basketball, and spent his entire career playing
baseball in the minors?
What
if Sylvester Stallone hadn't clued in to the fact that he
made a great action star, and had dropped the Rocky and
Rambo movies so he could sing in Rhinestone 2, 3, 4, and
5? (Note: If you didn't see Rhinestone, Stallone sang country
music with Dolly Parton in the movie... it wasn't his shining
moment.)
-
You may be a work-alone genius who's currently in a management
job you don't excel at.
-
You may be doing technical work when you're better suited
to be a team leader/motivator.
Here's
the thing:
If
you're employed by an outside company, you may not have
the ability to choose your "dream job", but if
you are an entrepreneur and/or you own your own business,
you may be accidentally CHOOSING to spend your time at things
you don't like or aren't suited for, just because you never
quite realized what you excel at the most!
Self
awareness is a tricky thing. If you can't get the most out
yourself, you're in for a much harder life than is needed.
I
strongly encourage you to take the following personality
test - What you learn may be very interesting... and profitable...
to you. :-)
Go
to: http://www.socionics.com/ipti/ipti-2.htm
-Take
the test (it'll just take a couple of minutes) and the results
will be emailed to you in the form of four letters which
describe your personality type. (Like INTP, ENTJ, ISFP,
etc.)
Now
this is important: When you get your personality results
by email, there will be a link to personality types on socionics.com.
You are welcome to look at your personality description
on their website, but a much more complete and valuable
interpretation of the results can be found here:
www.personalitypage.com/INTP.html
www.personalitypage.com/ENTJ.html
www.personalitypage.com/ISFP.html
(Just
replace those four letters with your personality test results,
and be sure to CAPITALIZE them just as in the examples to
get to the page.)
Note
that at the bottom of your personality profile page on personalitypage.com,
there are links to "Careers" and "Relationships"
for your personality type, which you should read as well.
A
final thought:
We
probably spend more time trying to get inside of our competitors'
heads than we do looking inside our own (smile). So make
sure you're getting the most valuable "competitive
intelligence" in the world... your own!
To
your success, Timothy A. Gross - Executive Director, Educated Media, LLC
