A lot of people have heard the term “Social Bookmarking”, heard the names of Digg and Del.icio.us and others, but don’t really get what the point is. As marketers, website owners want people to link to their websites using Social Bookmarking because it gives them visitors.
But why would people want to bookmark your website, and how can you get them to do it?
This video explains the concept of Social Bookmarking better than anything else I’ve seen. Some websites (especially blogs) say they’re now getting 50% of their visitors from Social Bookmarking and that it’s continuing to increase.
