Promoting MLM’s Online – Good Idea Or Not?

Promoting Multi-Level-Marketing products online is a double-edged sword… But the sharpest edge is that everyone is advertising in the same places for the same new customers. Google Adwords bids are very, very high for MLM programs, it’s doubtful that you could effectively pay to advertise MLM programs online profitably.

It’s a very similar situation to buying resell rights to a product online that is already heavily advertised and well-known. If you use the same ad as everybody else, what edge do you have?

I don’t do anything without having an edge.

  • If you already have a large list of MLM-seekers you can promote new products to, that’s an edge.
  • If you create and promote an inexpensive related info-product that you sell to prospects on the front-end which is self-liquidating and allows you to build your list for free (because the sales of that related info-product cover the cost of your advertising on the front-end, so any back-end MLM sales that result are gravy
  • If you create your own sales pitch (if allowed by the MLM) that is superior to the one the MLM is using and it converts prospects at a higher rate for you and drops your advertising costs, that’s an edge.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, my approach to promoting MLM’s is the same as promoting an affiliate program or a resell rights program:

Treat it as if it’s your own business, attract people to your own website they opt in to, and promote the MLM once they’re in your “funnel”, which also allows you to promote other related products/services.

Hope that helps – Tim
