Spammers are constantly changing their “From:” email address because they know recipients are blocking those addresses as spam, so the spammers have to change the email addresses they send from to try to get their message through.
However, assuming you’re not a spammer and you send out quality info to your subscribers, DON’T ever change your newsletter’s email address!
Because some of your best subscribers who’ve white-listed that address may accidentally block your new email address, and you’ve lost an important subscriber.
Case In Point:
I’m a musician, and I purchase music gear online from MusiciansFriend.com sometimes, so I’ve got the entire musiciansfriend.com domain white-listed so my spam filters won’t delete them.
I just scanned my email flagged as spam before deleting it all with the click of a button and noticed a Musician’s Friend email was set to be deleted.
For some reason, they’re now sending their updates from musiciansfriend.rsys1.com
Bad idea. My spam filter software sees that as a completely different domain, and it’s no longer white-listed.
