Dear Tim,

I was hoping that you could help me in choosing a title for my e-book.

I want to sell a step-by-step guide to creating and selling an information product

I was thinking at something like:

"How To Start A Business And Make Money Online" But it's not specific enough, you can't understand from the title of the book what is the book about

I also thought about"Discover An Amazing Strategy To Making Money Online In Just 10 Easy Steps" but the same problem, not specific enough

I would appreciate very much if you could show me a good title,or at least a suggestion

please contact me at my email

Hello Tim - long time since last contact - I really enjoy your 'stuff', in particular(in addition to your free goodies and info of course), 2 points: 1: watching TV[I don't like most of the programs but ads & what's happening(pulse as you put it) I watch] resulting in my first real invention - forerunner of sailboards, snow boards, skate boards way back in '68. 2: birthday - While at a former employer, rule was all office staff birthdays were posted on coffe row calendar - my birthday not their fault so I had to supply the goodies :-( ... . Additionally, I always enjoyed your webcams - am looking for a free or low cost method for CD/DVD burns on a small scale for locals presentation-like - any suggestions for this novice? Just bought a new Toshiba with Vista preinstalled complete with CD/DVD player/burner. The best to you Tim -Cordially, Paul

[Tim says: Hi Paul, nice to hear from you... Not quite sure what you're asking about CD/DVD burns on a small scale. On a REALLY small scale, you can burn them one at a time at home, but it gets tiresome (I used to do it). Check out http://kunaki.com they burn CD/DVD's and drop-ship them for you directly even, minimum order is 1.

Dear Tim,

Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns ! And thanks for the gift of the free offer !

I am an experienced and accredited (since 1991) group facilitator and management trainer.

I have been working in India so far. Last November, I worked in Thailand for an international NGO in a workshop for doctors from 11 countries. I realised that international assignments generate far more revenue than those within the country.

Since then, I have been wondering how to use the Internet to market my niche specialisation of Personal Growth Laboratories (sometimes referred to as T-Groups). I am particularly looking at English-speaking countries like Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, UK, South Africa, etc.

You can read more about this product of mine at http://groupdynamix.googlepages.com/personalgrowthlaboratory

Would appreciate your suggestions.

Have a great day !

Sanjib.

P.S. I sent an email to my professional body last year on similar lines, that I would like to reproduce below. However, my question to you pertains to my own one-man firm GROUP DYNAMIX whose website is http://groupdynamix.googlepages.com

Hi Sanjib, My response is here

Subject: Is it time to go global?

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I was looking at the NTL webpage on what they call 'Human Interaction Laboratory', held over 5-days at Bethel, Maine, and many other locations in USA, and a thought struck me with even greater force this time, although I have been conscious of it for several years now.

For details on the webpage, see http://www.ntl.org/training-public-coursedates.asp?CourseCntrlNo=171

You would notice the uniform pricing of U.S. $ 3,000=00 for 'tuition'. This refers only to the programme fee, and other expenses of board and accommodation are separately incurred by the participants.

U.S. $ 3,000=00 converts to Rs. 1,35,000=00 !

If you add a frugal $ 40 per day on meals, and $ 30 per day on motel accommodation, the total expense for a participant comes to U.S. $ 3,350=00 or Rs. 150,750=00.

Our own Dec. 2006 Winter Event prices the 6-day 'Lab on Human Process (BLHP/ALHP)' at Rs. 20,000=00, inclusive of 'tuition' and very comfortable accommodation and board at a 5-star hotel.

The price difference is to the factor of 7.5 almost exactly.

Bear in mind, though, that NTL does not, as a rule, offer dual pricing between corporate and self-sponsored participants. By contrast, with us, a self-sponsored participant or one from an NGO would probably pay a fee of Rs. 12,000=00 for the same BLHP/ALHP in Agra, in which case the differential is 12.5 times !

If you consider Regional Events, the price chasm turns vast indeed. Our forthcoming 5-day Monsoon Event at Bhubaneswar
has residential prices of Rs. 10,000=00 for corporates and Rs. 5,000=00 for others.

Factor of 15 and factor of 30 respectively !

Now, a Maruti 800 car costs Rs. 2,00,000=00 and a low-end Mercedes costs Rs. 20,00,000=00. The factor difference of 10 is partially accounted for by glamour, snob value, and brand name, but there is a very big accounting in terms of cost of materials, engineering, and general quality. A Mercedes is undoubtedly a superior car and cannot be compared to a Maruti 800 !

Does the same situation present itself vis-a-vis the Human Interaction Laboratory (NTL) and our Human Process Laboratory ? As someone who has facilitated in both, my answer is quite simply "No".

While the two products have minor differences, their nature is largely the same. Some would say that the latter is better or more 'authentic', including a few in NTL I know, and some might say that the former is better. Generally from the discussion, you would get the impression of comparisons between a Maruti Wagon R and a Hyundai Santro, or between a Toyota Camry and a Honda Accord. Certainly not between a Maruti 800 and a Mercedes !

The undeniable cause for the acute difference in pricing is, therefore, the high-cost economic environment of USA and the low-cost environment of India.

As the world economy globalises, there is increasing traffic of activities that bear comparison to the item I am considering from high-cost to low-cost environments. Heart surgeries, payroll accounting, ship-breaking, software development, mathematics teaching, and nursing are just a few examples.

In some cases, the service is physically outsourced to the low-cost environment. In other cases, the service providers from the low-cost environment move physically to the high-cost environment. In a few cases, both happen, such as medical doctors from India in U.K., and medical patients from U.K. in India.

I think its time for us to face the fact that the traffic has not occurred - at least, on a significant scale - in the item of our own interest, i.e. the generic Human Laboratory.

In the nearest incident, NTL last year offered an Organisation Development Workshop in Bangalore in association with a multinational company at a very high price, but perhaps less than what they would have charged in USA. This would suggest that, as an organisation, NTL is more aware of the strategic potential of the pricing gap in our mutual domain.

Personally, I would really hope that we don't wait for NTL to start offering Human Interaction Laboratories in Mumbai and Bangalore at Rs. 40,000=00 or Rs. 50,000=00 before considering the possibility of offering Human Process Laboratories in Boston or San Francisco for U.S. $ 1,000=00 or $ 1,500=00.

I would suggest to the Executive Board that, as a pilot project, we schedule the first BLHP on foreign soil as early as the first half of 2007. Which country or location that first BLHP would be in - New York, London, Dubai, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA's Silicon Valley or nearby Colombo - can be decided in terms of convenience. Perhaps a city where we already have an expatriate professional member living and willing to help out. Perhaps a local organisation willing to partner with us there, just as the Bangalore company agreed to partner with NTL here. Perhaps ease of travel.

These are details. If we agree on the big picture, I think there's a world waiting out there for the 134 professional members, no less human or microcosmic than the settings in which we have grown comfortable over the years. Yes, there will be differences in culture, complexion, accents, styles and priorities, but the basic core of feelings, processes and attitudes that form our field of work, is universal.

We will bring huge energies and competence in our facilitation work to the world outside.

Lets make a start !
