Are
You Working At Your Business
Or Just Surfing Around?
From
Timothy A. Gross, Executive Director - Educated Media, LLC
Dear
Friends & Virtual Neighbors;
We
get a lot of email from people who would like to supplement
their income by marketing on the internet. That's great!
But in many cases, we see people NOT actually working on
developing the skills they need to succeed, but instead
just "surfing around" looking for "opportunities"
without any expectation of doing any actual "work".
Example
email we receive:
"I
work 10 hours a day, and when I get home, all I do is
spend hours every night trying to make money on the
internet. I know the money's out there, I know it's
possible to make money, and I need to start making money
from home." |
Again,
great! Better to be on the internet than watching television.
But when we ask how they are preparing and training to make
money online, they often don't have much to say. "Wishing"
and "doing" are two different things.
To become successful, you need to develop new skills, like
learning how to:
-
Build Websites
-
Write Successful Ads
Are
you:
-
Trying to create, find, or license products to sell?
-
Making notes about potential competitors, and what their
strategies are online?
Build
Relationships
Are
you making contacts on the web, and developing relationships
with like-minded people online who may be able to give you
helpful suggestions, help you "brainstorm", and
pool your knowledge to try and achieve success faster?
If
not, get started! Get active on related discussion boards
(do a search for "discussion board" or "forum"
or "help" using your related product keywords.
Find the most useful discussion boards, and get involved.
Ask
questions. Answer questions when you can. Become known,
and get to know the helpful people on the boards. The suggestion
or idea or relationship you get from getting involved in
these virtual communities could be the catalyst for your
success.
As
I've said time and time again, "Internet Marketing"
is no magic pill. It takes work. It takes time. And it almost
invariably requires you to develop new skills.
So
I ask you: Are you developing new skills, or just
surfing the web?
You
will ALWAYS LEARN MORE by actually trying something than
by "studying". Experience is the great teacher,
and a lot of people get frozen in the "research"
phase and are afraid to actually DO something.
If
that's you, this is a wake-up call.
Get started at something, ANYTHING!
I
hope this helps you get focused on making sure you're doing
the most productive things to get where you want to be,
because one thing that no one seems to have enough of these
days is time. Two enormous benefits of a membership to our
Instant
Products & Profitable Ads Membership Site
are:
1)
Provides you with an enormous marketing resource all in
one place that you can "tap into" whenever you
need it, saving you lots of time.
2)
Give you targeted, focused information you need so you can
cut through the clutter and
get what you need now.
Take
It One Step At A Time
Keep
in mind, the "stepping stones to success" are
just that - they're a bunch of little steps. If I knew five
years ago all the work it would take to get where I am now,
it would have seemed like too much to tackle!
But
at each point, I was learning just one more thing, working
my way step-by-step towards my goals. I've now built my
original business I started with $1,500 into a multi-million
dollar corporation, all working without a traditional "job"...
By
building your skills while taking everything one step at
a time, one day you'll look back and you won't believe
how far you've gotten. ;-
To
your success, Timothy A. Gross
P.S.
- Hot Tip: Keep a written log of everything you accomplish
and work on every day for the next month. It's so easy to
have hours and days slip away from you... Reviewing your
progress and work habits is the first step toward increasing
your productivity, which will move through each step that
much faster.
