New Free WordTracker Tool To Find Most-Searched Headlines

By Tim Gross - Internet Business Blog | February 5, 2007

Are you familiar with WordTracker? It tracks how often words are searched for, which is very valuable information if you’re trying to get be found in the search engines for the most important related keywords to your industry.

They now offer Free Keyword Suggestion Tool in addition to their paid services which does quite a lot. It’s similar to the Overture/Yahoo Keyword Sandbox (which is no longer available).

Anyway - I used it to write the subject line for my last post, “American Idol Worst Auditions & Rejects”. I was GOING to write something like, “American Idol Terrible Contestants”, but after typing “american idol” into WordTracker, I found that the terms “auditions“, “worst“, and “rejects” were more searched-for terms on the subject, so I incorporated them into the subject line.

After all - Why wouldn’t you want to use the most searched-for terms? If I say “terrible contestants” but most people are searching for “worst audition rejects”, my article will be found less in search engine results.

Money Shot: Use WordTracker’s Free Tool when you’re writing headlines (or writing anything) to increase search traffic.

Advanced Tip: There’s a second profitable reason to use the words your prospects are searching for in your sales letter, which I’ll get into in a future article.

And here is the KeywordDiscovery.com - Free keyword research tool. Another great free alternative for the Overture and WT tools.

The free tool gives the top 100 results per search from a 35 Billion keyword database.

The full version of KeywordDiscovery is like wordtracker - but with lots more features and a much larger keyword database.

    Cheers
