List Of Top Ways I’ve Made Money Online

By Tim Gross - Internet Business Blog | July 24, 2008

There are (luckily) many different ways to make money online. To give you an idea, here’s a list of some of the things I’ve done:

Create & Sell “How To” Training Products - The number of sales I’ve made of downloadable ebooks is in the six figures. If you can teach people something valuable that makes their lives better, you’re in business.

Sell Membership Subscriptions To Password-Access Websites - I’ve sold thousands of subscriptions at around $500/year, and also lower-priced subscriptions for $20/month. Again, if you’re providing value, the sky’s the limit.

Create Content Websites That Draw Free Traffic - I’ve created websites that have gotten millions of hits a month, and made money from affiliate commissions. The benefit is that there’s no customer support since you’re not selling anything directly, so it’s “hands-off”.

Develop Software Tools - I had a free downloadable program created that brought in thousands of dollars month after month from affiliate commissions from users. I also created a paid version that users voluntarily upgraded to.

Provide Services - I’ve done website creation/development, copywriting, online advertising, and consulting for clients, both on a per-hour basis and on a percentage of profits. (Sidebar: Full details on how I originally got clients can be found here.)

Buy & Sell Domain Names - I’ve bought and sold multiple domains for a profit, although it’s not something I’ve specifically focused on. If you’ve got a good domain name, people will contact you about buying it. The most I’ve spent for a domain name is $5,000, which I sold for $10,000 with virtually no effort. I had a secondary use for the domain name though; I wouldn’t recommend you pay a lot of money for a domain name on speculation.

Writing Articles & Blogging - If you like to write or want to establish credibility in your field, you can make money writing articles and posting them online on your own blog, to article directories, etc. By linking to affiliate products in your articles, you can earn commissions without having your own product to sell. As you can see there’s a wide range of things you can do to make money online, and that’s just a partial list of course. I hope this gives you some ideas if you’re still in the start-up phase.

Important Note: I’m going to start revealing some very inside info on the above topics soon, but you’ll only get it if you’re on my subscriber list. (No worries, it’s free - Just use the top-right subscribe box or click here)
