Don’t fail me now Google BOOYA!

By Tim Gross - Internet Business Blog | March 7, 2008

I’ve mentioned in previous posts how quickly Google indexes things I write here using Wordpress blog software, but today I’m actually going to time it.

Believe it or not, searching for “Don’t fail me now Google BOOYA!” gives no search results, so it will be easy to see if and when Google indexes this page, so here it goes… [SUBMIT]

*  *  *

The results: It only took 9.5 minutes before Google indexed this post (I’m adding everything after the above “* * *” after I originally submitted this post:

Don’t Fail Me Now Google BOOYA!

One thing to note is that Google indexed the root page of the blog, not the direct URL… hold on… update:

As I’m continuing to write this (20 minutes after I submitted the post, 10 minutes after the initial screen shot above), Google has RE-indexed my site, indexing the direct page link and also indexing a previous post which links to it:

Google Booya 2

If you look at the links above each post on this blog, you’ll see how previous posts are linked up to new ones at the top, which adds to the SEO exposure by having title keywords listed in multiple posts.

So there you have it, 9.5 minutes to get Indexed, and then getting re-indexed again soon after. Thanks for indexing my posts so quickly, Google… I mean, BOOYA!!

P.S. -How long does it take to get your new content Googled? And if you’re not using blog software like Wordpress… Don’t you think you should?

To your speedy indexing, Tim A. Gross
