Why Your Website Should Use Blog Software: INSTANT Indexing

Just a quick update - I posted the previous George Carlin post about 30 minutes ago, and it’s already indexed in Google.
The title of the post was “George Carlin’s Seven Dirty Words - Keep The Sound Down!” And 30 minutes later, if I type this into Google search, that post comes up as the #1 listing:

If you’re running and updating your website using “static” website creation tools and not taking advantage of blogs’ automatic ping function that sends out a notifier whenever you post a new page or entry, you’re just missing out.

(On a side note, I don’t normally check search engine rankings. Some people obsess over ranking highly for specific phrases etc, I don’t. I was actually searching for something else when I noticed this.)
The fact that blogs get indexed by Google so quickly can be especially important if you’re writing about current events and news stories and tying them into your business and products to capitalize on the increased search traffic from breaking news. (But we’ll save that for another time…)
